Feel empowered

Take a breath. You have time, choices and support.

An unexpected pregnancy can bring a lot of questions. You do not have to answer all of them today, and you do not have to face them alone.

Start where you are

Support without pressure.

An unexpected pregnancy can be hard to face. Friends and family may have strong opinions, and it can feel as if everyone wants life to return to normal immediately. You deserve space to slow the moment down, ask questions and consider what each choice could mean for you now and in the future.

A trained counselor can help you understand the support available without judging you or telling you what to do. The decision is yours, but you do not have to sort through it by yourself.

How the network works

Local care with statewide coordination.

Real Alternatives is a nonprofit organization administering Indiana’s pregnancy and parenting support program through pregnancy support centers, social service agencies, adoption agencies and maternity homes.

The Indiana program is funded by the State of Indiana. Contracted Indiana providers are nonprofit, non-discriminatory organizations staffed by trained, caring counselors and monitored for program compliance.

In Pennsylvania, private support from citizens helps Real Alternatives connect women with independent community agencies. These referral partners manage their own day-to-day operations.
